Jewellery care
Our pieces are made to be worn every day. A little care keeps the gold bright for longer.
Everyday
- Last on, first off. Put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hair products, and take it off before you shower at the end of the day.
- Water is fine, chemicals are not. Washing your hands, rain and sweat will not hurt it. Chlorine pools, sea water, bleach and cleaning sprays wear plating down faster, so take it off for those.
- Wipe, do not scrub. After wearing, wipe each piece with a soft dry cloth to remove skin oils. Never use toothpaste, baking soda or silver dip.
- Store it apart. Keep each piece in its own pouch or box so chains do not tangle and surfaces do not scratch each other.
- Keep it dry when stored. Humidity speeds up dulling. A dry drawer or box is best; a silica gel sachet helps in monsoon.
Pearls and stones
Pearls, glass and crystal are softer than metal. Wipe them gently with a damp cloth and dry them straight away. Keep them away from perfume and hairspray.
How we test
Before a piece goes on sale we wear-test it. Each new design goes through:
- Water: daily hand-washing and a shower, for a week.
- Sweat: a week of everyday wear, including a workout.
- Clasps and joints: opening and closing clasps and checking every jump ring and hinge.
If a design does not hold up, we do not sell it.
Our quality promise
If a piece tarnishes within six months of normal wear, we replace it. Contact us with your order number and a photo.
